Favorites this week!

Monday, June 16, 2014

I am 39 weeks and so excited for my due date to get here. This week I've had fun trying out different earrings, lip color, and recipes while I wait for baby to come. Here are some of my new favorites!

Pink Crystal big teardrop stud earring - 14k plated gold post earrings real swarovski rhinestones .. $38.00, via Etsy.

I saw these on Pinterest and thought they were stunning! There's something so elegant about this blush color and teardrop shape. These ones are on Etsy.com for $44.

Opulent Teardrop Studs | FOREVER21 - 1000066082

I also found these similar-colored teardrop studs for $4.80 on Forever21.com! These are calling out my name.

I bought Wet n Wild's Mega Last Lip Color last week and have already fallen in love with it. I know it's a drugstore brand, but don't be fooled, this lipstick goes on creamy and has great color. Plus Wet n Wild doesn't test on animals, giving me one more reason to love their products. Did I mention it's only $2?! My color of choice, Don't Blink Pink.

Zupas nuts about berries recipe!!

Okay, lately I have been craving berry salads almost daily! I tried this recipe from Prettylifeanonymous.blogspot.com and was extremely impressed. I also like to add avocado to mine.

Homemade Oreos Recipe

And you just can't go wrong with homemade Oreos. Yourcupofcake.com has the simplest, yummiest recipe, try it out. These are hard to resist!

Animal Friendly Makeup

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

If you know me, you know that I love animals and try to make a difference wherever I caneven small changes can make a big difference. One change I've done this year is research my makeup to see what's animal friendly and what isn't. I hate knowing that I'm buying a product that supports animal testing, so I began switching out my products for happier, healthier, animal friendly ones. Below you can find some amazing animal friendly products that I've tried and loved.

Burt's Bees Radiance Day Lotion $7.99 on Amazon.com.
I feel like this lotion makes my skin glow, plus I like wearing SPF protection everyday to avoid sun damage.

Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow
E.l.f. Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow $3.00 on Eyeslipsface.com.
I really like E.l.f. products and have used them for years, their makeup usually ranges from $1.00 to $5.00.

It's a 10 Miracle hair mask $24.00 on Amazon.com.
The benefits of this hair mask are amazing, it's great for restoring dry, damaged hair.

Tarte Lip Tint $24 on Tartecosmetics.com.
These lip colors keep your lips smooth and and stay bright for hours! They have so many colors to choose from and mine has lasted forever.

E.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder
$3.00 on Eyeslipsface.com.
This blush and bronzer is simple, but I love the natural-looking glow it gives my skin.

If you have any more suggestions for animal friendly cosmetics, I'd love to hear them!

**As far as my research shows, these products do not test on animals. However, I know that company policies change often. If you have any updates on these products, please let me know.
